My NUTRITION Basics
"HOW'S THAT NUTRITION THING WORKING OUT FOR YOU?"
Yeah, I don't know how to answer that. It just works. Most people know that I've brought in professional help, MIRIAM KRUG (@numiperformancenutrition) from the Mother City of Berlin. What else? I took a very pragmatic approach! Miri says what I pour into my gas tank, and that's what happens.
What does it look like? Miri provides a plan, which is divided into 1x training, 2x training or rest day. After all, my total Kcal turnover is different (on training days between 2500-3100 Kcal and on rest days 2200-2400 Kcal). The plan also includes all the meals, consisting of breakfast, lunch and dinner and two options each, so that I don't get too monotonous.The exact grams for proteins, carbohydrates, vegetables and fats are also given. Food quality is just as important as the distribution of macronutrients. My shakes are also included in the nutrition plan.
EVERYTHING IS ALLOWED AS LONG AS IT IS PLANNED
So I just have to do exactly what the plan says. For me it is clearly the easiest way to eat correctly in a diet. Of course this plan is not set in stone. We are in regular exchange, adjust and if the weight fits, I can cheat on the rest days.
Miri doesn't forbid me anything, it is simply built into the plan, if I am up for kebab in the morning, there is kebab in the morning. That's why I am on the scale in the morning and in the evening and every quarter I have to measure my fat. In the direction of the competition the whole thing intensifies again, I stand on the scales more often, tell them how I feel, how sleep is, etc... You can control a lot about your diet.
Miri is always up-to-date in nutrition, weight and feeling. That's why it is all the more important that we are always honest with each other.
Even now that a whole year has passed, nothing has changed. On the contrary! Our basis of trust has grown and I am very happy that we still want to work together. My diet has changed completely during this time and I could learn a lot from Miri.
